My process is as important to me as the completed illustration. Every step is crucial when it comes to creating the final product.

I begin by sketching out ideas using pencil and paper. Though most of my work is done digitally, I always start with a traditional approach. After solidifying an idea in sketch form, I spend a lot of time searching for references. These references help me to come up with a final pencil, which is the un-colored rendition of the final piece. After that, I do color comps to figure out the best color scheme. From there, I can tackle the illustration head-on into completion.
